As the title states, it's true - an online gamer got out of a death sentence only to end up with essentially a life sentence. Here's an exerpt from the AP story and the link to the rest of it is below:


"Online gamer gets life for cyber-sabre stabbing"

BEIJING (Reuters) - A Shanghai online game player who stabbed a competitor to death for selling his cyber-sword has been given a suspended death sentence, which in effect means life imprisonment, state media said on Wednesday.

The case had created a dilemma in China where no law exists for the ownership of virtual weapons.

Qiu Chengwei, 41, stabbed competitor Zhu Caoyuan in the chest after he was told Zhu had sold his "dragon sabre", used in the popular online game, "Legend of Mir 3", the China Daily said.

"Legend of Mir 3" features heroes and villains, sorcerers and warriors, many of whom wield enormous swords.

Qiu was sentenced to death "with a two-year reprieve", which in effect means life behind bars. That, in turn, could be reduced to 15 years if he behaves well, the newspaper said of the sentence which has angered the victim's family.

"My son was only 26 when he died," said Zhu Huimin, the dead man's father, who is planning to appeal. "He was sleeping when Qiu broke into his home. He was barely able to put on his pants before Qiu stabbed him.

Oh for crying out LOUD...........................

This post is mostly for the few of you guys who sent me such KIND emails as to why I don't have more gaming posts. BECAUSE I DON'T FUCKING FEEL LIKE IT, OK? muwahahahahaha. No really, I just either forget to take screenshots or...OR(!) I have found some miraculous way to sneak myself back into the real world without letting another game like Lineage take up my every breathing moment. Yes, Warcraft is already crumbling. Yes, Lineage has become mundane. But I still find both games to be fun, albeit not like I use to. That just means there's another game out there with my name on it!!!

Ok, I'm lying. It's getting closer to summer-time in SoCal. I've been here a little over a year now and one of the things that I've been dying to do is...you guessed it...go scuba diving!!! I'm NAUI certified (not that lame ass PADI cert) and I hear SoCal is the shit when it comes to diving off the coast and near the islands (Catalina is suppose to rock) so when the water gets warm enough, I'd like to try to plan a dive, maybe finally get a chance to swim with the sharks.

See? Life outside of video games is rather fun. (OMG DID I JUST SAY THAT??!! Yup, I guess I did, suckahs!!!!)

If any of you are anything like me (forgive me if this begins to start sounding like a REALLY bad infomercial, but I been wanting to link this for awhile) then you probably have multiple email accounts. Me, for example, I have roughly 8 different email accounts - one for gaming, one for spam, one for friends and family only, work, etc etc. I was reading a magazine about 2 months ago and came across the best top 20 free downloads on the internet - one of them was Eprompter. This thing is SUPER easy to use and... AND(!) it checks ALL my emails at the SAME time, so I don't have to log in then out then in and out, and so on. I can check all my accounts through their interface. Check it out.

I was looking at some screenshots on Gameabout and found this one. It looks like Girin DM (bottom left hand corner) and I guess there was an update? I haven't seen any of the mops in the DM since the last few updates nor since I logged on for more than an hour. Lots of drakes there. But I want to also point out that the player there is either in coi and NOT getting hit or is a viewer who's HP is getting taken off. OR he just came into the arena to watch later on after he'd been fighting something/one somewhere. Meh.  

And as the pic above is pretty much self explanatory, yes I have involved myself in yet ANOTHER lawsuit. How this comes to me is beyond me. On a lighter note, instead of ME getting sued, it's the other way around - my company is suing another one and guess who gets to spear-head the discovery process? Some jerk from a shipping company steals a truck full of my stuff, then tries to get away with it. Oops. Busted. Forged signatures. Cash transactions. Someone's going to jail. What a fucking idiot - what made him think he wasn't going to get caught? I hope 15 years in prison was worth the stuff that he stole. I'm sure he'll make a REAL nice bitch for someone down in Huntsville. Sucka........... 

Lineage? What's that?

Lineage? What's that? Oh yah - it's THIS.....well, it's pretty obvious nothing's really changed in Lineage in regards to drops. I started about 2 hours worth of hunting with about 100K. Ended the hunts with about 20K. How on earth do you people make money in this game? I just can't see it happening. Spend time on FI? TOI? Why? Why do I have to play like it's a fucking job to make money? Nerfing the money drop was a horrible idea - bah - enough of my ranting. Some things don't change. Anyway, I had about as much fun as a 5 year old in a library. Ok ok - I'll try again this week!!!!!

See that little furry dude there in the middle? That's my Yeti-dude and I was so bored, I took him to the Scarlett Monestary and this guy was AMAZING!!! He single handedly took out every mop there - and see the mean guy he's fighting now? That's the boss and he whupped his ASS! LOL! 

No dragons in Lineage? God knows there's plenty in WoW - we took this guy out fairly quick and he's prolly my most favorite dragon to kill. Mostly because the other ones are too hard :P 

As my post below stated, this is one of the 100 times I died - mean stupid %&#$%^%^ doggie!!!! 

We were getting ready to do an instance called the Molten Core - which is insanely difficult. There were only 3 druids there and I asked the other 2 to go bear form so we can take our "3 Little Bears of MC" screenshot. That's me in the middle. We ended up wiping about 100 times and gave up half of the way through. It was a 37 member team that went in.

Yah, ok, so now I'm ready to pull my fucking hair out!!! I was asked to design a website for my company - fine, that's cool - I don't know html, cold fusion, etc etc too well, but I'm decent with it nevertheless. Funny how I can figure out complicated stuff but the easy stuff I couldn't get if my life depended on it. What's making me crazy is the merchant solutions I've been asked to add to it - it's so gawd awful annoying cuz I have to find a way to link our inventory to the site so that when orders come in, the shit works. We've always dealt with bulk dealers and what not - never the end users, so this is new to me. I guess greed has seeped into my bosses head - which really, it never left, so this doesn't suprise me. Zombie Arcade!!!!!!!!!

What a GREAT clip this is! It's called Zombie Arcade and I'm not 100% if it's real or not, but if it is, it was brilliant. Let me give you a quick lowdown: Suppose you have a guy that is a hypnotist and what he does is design a video game that can hypnotize people using a specific sequences of flashing lights (we all know about kids in Japan having siezures while playing video games due to the lights). While the player is zonked out, this particular hypnotist ALSO made a real life model of the area that the game is played in (imagine a real life dark elf cave as opposed to the video game version).

Well this zonked out guy is taken on a stretcher to the area where he stopped playing, only to be awoken in the real life zone.

Like I said, if this was real, then absolutely brilliant. Zombie Arcade

And if this shit ever happened to ME, then all I have to say is that I hope I wake up in a Leisure Suit Larry game - 'nuff said!
