Here's a pretty cool screenshot of a evolved dob with armor on it. I know there is some debate whether or not to evolve your pets - many of you have high level pets that have been with you forever and to lose them to evolution has been a difficult choice for you, most likely. But damn, doesn't that armor look cool on the dog? And take a look at the hp - it's not too bad.
