W's mom touts Astrodome

Hi guys, sorry for not having a chance to post yet, but after reading this artcle in the Daily News here in NY, on page 8 or 9 for that matter, I figured everyone should get a chance to see it before it gets lost, overlooked or even censored. Here's the full article:

http://www.nydailynews.com/09-06-2005/news/wn_report/story/343727p-293493c.html

and this quote from that article is what should be making you gasp

Former First Lady Barbara Bush was about the most chipper visitor yesterday to the Houston Astrodome, where thousands who fled the Hurricane Katrina disaster are sheltered.

"And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them," the Bush family's matriarch chuckled as she spoke on National Public Radio's "Marketplace" program.

The hurricane can actually turn out to be good for some people. The people who were on welfare and looking to end that will now have the chance. free apt for 6 months here in tx and many food and clothing donations. here in the tx we are holding many job fairs for them so this may be the chance they need.

careful zach..lol. You wouldn't want some anonymous dingle thinkin your stupid for saying something like that. It's obvious what the old lady was actually sayin. For alot of people it seems that didn't suffer that they'll be getting alot of help that they obviously weren't getting in the first place. It's nice to see all the neighboring states and what not helping out all these people that were displaced. I'm biased since i was born and raised in Texas, but damn Texas has some of the greatest people in the country. ;D
